Information Summary

Strasburg School District is a small rural district located approximately 30 miles from Aurora on the I-70 corridor.  Our community is primarily residential with many parents/guardians commuting into town for work.  We are proud of the educational opportunities that we provide our students.

Strasburg's growing population has had the greatest effect on the Elementary School with a need to add additional classes in several grades.  We are on the cusp of significant change in our district with a forecasted growth that exceeds our current capacity.

Every year the district faces financial uncertainty with our significant dependency on state revenue.  Cuts in state funding over the past 10 years has forced the district to make substantial adjustments within the budget that included support staff, transportation, maintenance, and instruction.  However, the Board of Education has continued to make quality education and safety a top priority.
